Back in town centre, where at the time of the Kaisertafel a long line of tables were lined up from the cathedral square to the Altpoertel (in the end to the Postplatz). The double row was covered with red and white tablecloths, which are the colours of the Speyer flag. This was taken on Saturday morning, when they were mostly empty, and they were always a feast for the eyes.
