The fountain of the craftsmen stands on the Koenigsplatz (King's Square) which most of the time is a parking lot, but in non-Corona times the weekly market is held here.
The prominent figure on top is the Brezel-boy (locally the "brezelbu"), which holds a coat of arms in one hand and a brezel in the other. This is emphasising the importance of the brezel for Speyer. On the base there are 16 coats of arms of craft guilds which give the fountain its name.
