At the crossing of Lindenstrasse and St-German-Strasse, behind a petrol station, there is the so-called smithy tower (Schmiedeturm), an interesting residential building which looks as it has once been a church. But it never was - it used to be a part of the southern town wall and was converted to its actual form in the 19th century.
